Since I was a child I always liked photography. My first camera was at the age of 7 years old and would only take 8 photographs. I found Black and White photography very intriguing and exiting so later I learned the process of development of analog film creating my own dark room at home.

I was born in Santiago, Chile in my college years became very interested in photography in general. I learned development techniques and using different equipment for doing images that would represent what I would love to capture.

Later on in United States, and after years in New York City, I moved to Jersey City, New Jersey. La Guardia Community College in New York, was a great place in creating new knowledge for my career. After completing my studies there, I joined the team that worked at Jose Pelaez Studio in Manhattan, studio focused on working in stock photography.

It involved several different techniques and methods as well as also different approaches that each photographer would have, creating an enriching friendship and professional interaction from which I learned quit of bit . Images  for stock photography requires different cameras, lights, settings, wore drove, furniture, and different props, and the very interesting aspect of make up artists as well, was of great understanding for these effects.

Organizing  models for each projects with the different settings, different ages, including the use of animals, in still life at the studio or on open locations became an exciting process to me. The work most times entailed creating displays or sets in studio or outdoor location for projects shown with large different companies or specific clients, that would need concept base images was a fun route to create images.
Working with Polaroids, settings of lights and different displays, handling the pressure with deadlines and clients expectation is a normal endeavor to go through. We would usually shoot 40 plus rolls of slide film a day. I used several different brand type cameras and lenses.

Retouching in Stock Photography is a must always. Creating perfect images involves having perfect development of retouching and toning .The conceptual elements creating different still life or images in general where a must to study and to be  selective upon.

After 10 years of this experience I started creating my own collection where I contributed my photographs to companies such Blend Images, Images Source, Corbis, Getty Images, Alamy Images and others, using several different programs along the years that have enable me to have a great experience and range in different angles in concepts as well as in delivery of great analog and digital photography’s black and white as well as in color.

I’m very excited to show you my work and I thank you for visiting my page, enjoy the images.
